  • Put your soapbox in the Cabrillo file using the ‘SOAPBOX:’ header tag. Each soapbox line MUST start with this tag. E.g.:

START-OF-LOG: 2.0

CALLSIGN: WA9ABC
CLUB: W9 contesters
CONTEST: PACC
CATEGORY: SINGLE-OP ALL LOW CW
CLAIMED-SCORE: 396492

  • We use a “log robot” like most other contests nowadays. HA1AH has developed a complete software suite with a web based user interface. You can upload your log to the robot. You can even correct your log on-line or type it in completely from A to Z.
  • If you want to receive the token of merit make sure you include your FULL address in the cabrillo header, see examples above. Incomplete addresses will NOT be handled manually, no awards or token of merit will be send!

Before submission

Check your log thoroughly it if there are any typo’s or other obvious mistakes before submitting.  The full log need to be in chronological order, this also applies to multi-op logs !

Frequent errors are:

  • Non-existing province abbreviations in exchange or lack of exchange.
  • Mode and RST do not match. If you you do not have your rig interfaced to your logging software make sure the band and mode are changed simultaneously  in the log and on the rig.
  • “Impossible” calls due to a typo.
  • Time not within the contest time window.

So it is obvious that it will pay off  to thoroughly check your log before submission. The robot will generate ERROR(S) on most of the typo related mistakes. If there are too many mistakes or a more fundamental ERROR occurs (e.g. wrong Cabrillo header) then the log will be rejected. After correction you can re-submit (as many times as you like).

If you have read all instructions then:
